Last week, it was an experiment week we had. Teachers provided some science activities, and they tried them. They focused to see what the teacher’s doing, so it’s very silent during the activity. I guess many of them didn’t think it was an experiment activity, but they might think something fun show they could see. And when the teacher said they could try out, they were so excited.
‘Blossoming Origami flower’ was quiet science activity. We drew some pictures on the Origami picture and let it flow on the water. Children were so excited when they saw the Origami flowers were blooming. But that activity needs a patient. Some of the children could not wait the petals were opened, and they opened by themselves.
‘Leak or not? Water in a bag pencil experiment’. That is very excited experiment too. They held their breath to see, and they clapped their hands when the staff could successfully to pierce the pencils into the bag without leaking any water.
‘Which sauce helps to clean the coin?’. We used tomato sauce (ketchup) to clean coins. They tried to make the coins shine as much as possible. It was super quiet while they were cleaning…
‘How many books can the paper hold?’. It was ordinary a piece of paper we used. First, we had them to think about how they could hold the paper into a shape that would hold many books. And let them to try to place the books on the cylindrical piece of paper. We could make 7 books on a single paper!
All experiments were fun to do with them! I believed they enjoyed too!
Experiment activity week!
