Last week, we had a cooking activity. We made a rolled sandwich for our snack. They had some choices of strawberries, blueberries, chocolate, and butter. They spread jam on a bread and rolled like a ‘roll cake’. Most of the children expected triangle shape for the sandwich, so that some of them had confused face when the staff said we would roll the bread. But all of them enjoyed putting their own choice spread and rolling up the bread.
A few of them squeezed their sandwich like a rice ball, but still all of them loved what they made. “Can I have more?” “I want to have another chocolate!” They learned how special if they made their foods by themselves, so hope they help their parents to cook at home too.
Also, we did Fire evacuation drill too. We discussed what do we need to do when a fire breads out at school and practiced how to evacuate. Children followed the instructions very well as covered their mouth. Good job, everyone!
